Job Title: Pharmacist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medication, providing health advice, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing medication and providing health advice to patients
• Conducting medication reviews and providing guidance on the safe and effective use of medicines
• Managing and maintaining accurate patient records and medication histories
• Developing and implementing medication management plans
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Staying up-to-date with new developments and advancements in pharmacy practice
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control protocols and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Current registration with the Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration (EFDA) as a licensed pharmacist
• At least 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapeutics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Amharic and English, with knowledge of other local languages an advantage
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in pharmacy
