Packaging Operator

Brief Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment, ensuring that products are properly packaged and meet quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain packaging equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, and case packers
• Monitor packaging lines to ensure efficient and safe operation, and make adjustments as necessary
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Inspect packaged products for quality and accuracy, and report any defects or issues to supervisors
• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and achieve quality standards
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, food technology, or a related discipline from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• At least 2 years of experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry
• Knowledge of packaging equipment and materials, including fillers, cappers, labelers, and case packers
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work collaboratively with others
• Familiarity with Ethiopian food safety and quality standards, such as those set by the Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration
