Operating Room Nurse

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operating Room Nurse to join our dynamic team of medical professionals. As an OR Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of surgical care to our patients. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies
• Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs before, during, and after surgery
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for patients undergoing surgery
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during surgery
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and surgical procedures

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Registration with the Ethiopian Nursing Council
• At least 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, patient assessment, and nursing care planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends
