Brief Summary

We are seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a comprehensive market study on the demand for digital and creative skills and the labor market landscape in Addis Ababa. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing the current market trends, identifying the skills gap, and providing recommendations for addressing the demand for digital and creative skills in the city. The study will provide valuable insights for stakeholders, including employers, educational institutions, and policymakers, to inform their decisions and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough analysis of the labor market landscape in Addis Ababa, focusing on the digital and creative sectors
• Identify the key industries and occupations that require digital and creative skills
• Analyze the current demand for digital and creative skills and forecast future demand
• Assess the supply of digital and creative skills in the labor market, including the availability of skilled workers and educational programs
• Identify the skills gap and provide recommendations for addressing it
• Develop a comprehensive report that includes findings, analysis, and recommendations
• Present the findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including employers, educational institutions, and policymakers

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant field, such as economics, sociology, education, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in conducting market research or labor market analysis, preferably in the digital and creative sectors
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality research reports and presentations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze large datasets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
• Familiarity with the Ethiopian labor market and education system is an asset
• Experience with data analysis software and tools, such as SPSS, STATA, or Tableau, is an advantage
