Job Title: Network Operations Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. The Network Operations Engineer will work closely with our IT team to design, implement, and troubleshoot network systems, as well as provide technical support to our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network architectures, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet
• Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN concentrators
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization techniques to improve network efficiency
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement network security policies and procedures
• Provide technical support and training to users on network-related issues
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, inventories, and configuration files
• Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and trends, and make recommendations for network upgrades and improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in network operations, with a focus on network design, implementation, and management
• CCNA or CCNP certification, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP
• Experience with network management tools, such as SNMP, Syslog, and NetFlow
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines
