MEL Database Intern (Female only)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MEL Database Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team in maintaining and updating our database systems. This is a great opportunity for a female student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in database management and MEL principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of MEL databases, including data entry, data cleaning, and data analysis.
• Support the MEL team in data visualization and reporting, including creating tables, charts, and graphs.
• Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
• Provide technical assistance and training to MEL staff on database management and data analysis.
• Collaborate with the MEL team to develop and implement data management plans and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
• Proficiency in database management software, including MS Access, SQL, and Excel.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or SPSS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with MEL principles and practices, including data quality assurance and data visualization.
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
