Job Title: Medical Ward Nurse

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients’ responses
• Conduct routine vital sign checks, collect lab samples, and perform other diagnostic tests as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans
• Provide emotional support, education, and guidance to patients and their families
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement discharge plans, ensuring a smooth transition for patients
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Valid license to practice as a nurse in Ethiopia
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical ward setting
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
• Strong assessment, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Ethiopian healthcare policies, procedures, and standards
