Job Title: Medical Radiology Technologist /Radiographer

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes, ensuring accurate and efficient patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment, such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explaining the procedure, removing jewelry or other items that may interfere with the procedure, and positioning patients correctly.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate and efficient patient care, including maintaining patient records and reports.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in radiologic imaging, attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiology Technology or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university or college.
• Registration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health or relevant professional body as a Medical Radiology Technologist/Radiographer.
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably in a radiology department.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and efficient patient records and reports.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Knowledge of radiation safety standards and infection control protocols, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
