Job Title: Manager, Fund Management

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manager, Fund Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of funds, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing strategies to optimize investment returns. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and manage high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fund management strategies to achieve investment objectives and maximize returns
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and mitigate risks
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the fund management team, including portfolio management, risk management, and compliance
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment teams, risk management teams, and compliance teams, to ensure alignment and effective decision-making
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and service providers
• Provide guidance and oversight on investment decisions, ensuring alignment with the organization’s investment policies and objectives
• Monitor and report on fund performance, providing regular updates to senior management and the board of directors

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian or international university
• Minimum 8 years of experience in fund management, investment banking, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
• Professional certification, such as CFA, CAIA, or CIMA, is highly preferred
• Strong technical expertise in investment analysis, portfolio management, and risk management
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed investment decisions
• Familiarity with Ethiopian regulatory requirements and investment laws, as well as international best practices in fund management
