Job Title: Manager Budget Control and Fund Management

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manager Budget Control and Fund Management to lead our budgeting and financial management activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s budget and financial plans, ensuring effective utilization of resources and alignment with strategic objectives. This is a senior management role that requires strong technical, business, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s budget and financial plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and department heads to ensure effective financial planning and decision-making.
• Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including budget variance analysis, financial statements, and other management reports.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasting tools to support business planning and decision-making.
• Identify areas of cost savings and implement cost reduction strategies to improve financial performance.
• Manage and coordinate audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in budgeting, financial management, or a related field, preferably in a senior management role.
• Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA, is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian financial regulations, laws, and standards.
• Proven experience in budgeting, financial planning, and financial management, with a strong understanding of financial modeling and forecasting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, department heads, and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Proficiency in financial management software, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
