Job Title: Lab Technologist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lab Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests and procedures, analyzing results, and providing support to medical professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory tests, including blood tests, urinalysis, and other medical procedures
• Analyze test results, identify abnormalities, and report findings to medical professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results, patient information, and laboratory procedures
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and other medical devices
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
• Collaborate with medical professionals to develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to laboratory safety protocols and regulations

Requirements

• BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment
• Registration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health or other relevant professional bodies
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, including blood testing, urinalysis, and other medical procedures
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with medical professionals and other stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency in laboratory information management systems and other relevant software applications
