Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Medical Radiology Technologist to join our medical team. As a Junior Medical Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes, under the supervision of a senior radiologist or radiologic technologist. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the examination.
  • Operate radiologic equipment, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines, to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Use radiation safety measures to protect patients, themselves, and other healthcare workers from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including radiologic images and examination reports.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in radiologic imaging and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiologic Technology from a recognized Ethiopian university or college.
  • Registration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health or the relevant professional regulatory body.
  • At least one year of experience in a radiology department, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
  • Good understanding of radiologic principles, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to operate radiologic equipment, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
