Job Title: IT Security Specialist

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team. As an IT Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of our computer systems and networks. You will work to prevent cyber-attacks, protect our systems from malicious activities, and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect our computer systems and networks from cyber threats
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks
• Design and implement firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures to prevent unauthorized access
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
• Monitor and analyze security event logs to detect and respond to potential security incidents
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the security of our systems and data
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of cybersecurity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in IT security, with a proven track record of designing and implementing security measures
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and standards, including ISO 27001 and NIST
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
