Job Title: Information Technology Officer (IT Officer)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology Officer (IT Officer) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The IT Officer will provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and hardware
• Provide technical support and training to employees on IT systems and software applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with computer systems, software, and network infrastructure
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize IT needs and projects
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates of IT systems to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively
• Monitor and analyze system logs to identify potential issues and optimize system performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 2 years of experience in an IT role, preferably in a similar industry or organization
• Proficiency in a range of IT skills, including hardware, software, networking, and database management
• Experience with IT service management frameworks and ITIL certification is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide technical support and training to non-technical employees
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
