Job Description

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Human Resource (HR) Manager to join our team at Beleqet Jobs. As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and overseeing the overall HR function. You will play a key role in ensuring that our company is a great place to work, with a focus on employee engagement, development, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to support the company’s goals and objectives
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes, ensuring that they are fair, transparent, and compliant with labor laws
  • Develop and manage employee training and development programs to enhance skills and performance
  • Administer employee benefits, compensation, and payroll, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics, such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and engagement, to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a similar industry or sector
  • Professional certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, including the Labour Proclamation No. 1156/2019
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage
