Job Title: Head of Finance and Operation

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Finance and Operation to lead our financial and operational teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and operational aspects of our organization, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth, improving efficiency, and leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve profitability
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
• Oversee financial planning, accounting, and treasury functions
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other stakeholders
• Lead the operational team to ensure efficient and effective operations
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Lead and manage a team of finance and operational professionals

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 8 years of experience in finance and operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as ACCA or CMA, is an advantage
• Proven track record of driving business growth, improving efficiency, and leading high-performing teams
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian financial regulations, laws, and standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
