Job Title: Head Audit, Risk and Compliance

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified professional to fill the position of Head of Audit, Risk, and Compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the organization’s audit, risk, and compliance strategies. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide strategic guidance to the executive management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s audit, risk, and compliance strategies and policies
• Provide strategic guidance to the executive management team on audit, risk, and compliance matters
• Lead the internal audit function and ensure that all audit activities are conducted in accordance with international standards
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the organization’s operations and reputation
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders
• Ensure that the organization is in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards
• Provide training and guidance to staff on audit, risk, and compliance matters

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian or international university
• Professional certification in auditing, risk management, or compliance (e.g. CIA, CISA, CRMA)
• At least 8 years of experience in auditing, risk management, or compliance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian laws and regulations, as well as international standards and best practices in auditing, risk management, and compliance
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
