Job Title: Group Director General & Cost Accounting

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Group Director General & Cost Accounting to lead our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, overseeing cost accounting, and ensuring the company’s financial health and sustainability. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
• Oversee cost accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Lead the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
• Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements, and implement changes as needed

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA
• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability
• Strong technical expertise in financial management, cost accounting, and financial reporting
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
