Grants & Resource Mobilization Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Grants & Resource Mobilization Manager to lead our fundraising efforts and secure funding from diverse sources to support our programs and projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in grants management, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities from local and international donors, foundations, and corporations
  • Write and submit high-quality grant proposals, reports, and other documents to secure funding and maintain donor relationships
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations
  • Collaborate with program teams to develop project concepts, proposals, and budgets, and to ensure effective project implementation and reporting
  • Manage and coordinate the grant lifecycle, including application, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, regulations, and reporting deadlines
  • Analyze and track fundraising trends, donor behavior, and grant-making patterns to inform strategy and decision-making

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, International Development, or Communications
  • At least 5 years of experience in grants management, fundraising, or a related field, preferably in an international or local NGO
  • Proven track record of successful grant writing and fundraising experience, with a strong portfolio of written work
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
  • Familiarity with the Ethiopian development context and the local NGO sector, with a strong network of contacts and relationships
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in Amharic or other local languages an added advantage
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience in database management and online fundraising platforms
