Distributor Manager Job Description

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Distributor Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing our distribution network, ensuring the effective delivery of our products to customers across Ethiopia. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective distribution strategies to achieve business objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers
• Manage and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
• Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales plans and promotions
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
• Provide training and support to distributors to enhance their performance and customer service

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG or distribution industry
• Proven track record of success in managing distribution networks and achieving sales targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with knowledge of other local languages an advantage
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently throughout Ethiopia
