Job Title: Deputy Finance Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Finance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in the overall financial management of the organization, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The Deputy Finance Manager will play a key role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of the organization, and will work closely with other departments to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of the organization’s annual budget and forecasts
• Develop and implement financial models to improve financial performance and forecasting
• Manage and supervise a team of finance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are able to perform their duties effectively
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including management accounts and statutory accounts
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and other financial institutions
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, and develop strategies to minimize their impact on the organization
• Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation, and ensure the organization is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry
• Professional certification in accounting, such as ACCA or CPA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of finance staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with external stakeholders
• Proficiency in financial management software, including Excel, and experience with accounting software such as SAP or Oracle
