Cybersecurity Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of our computer systems and networks. You will work closely with our IT team to identify and mitigate potential security threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure network architectures and systems
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats
• Develop and implement incident response plans to handle security breaches and incidents
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
• Monitor and analyze security event logs to detect and respond to security incidents
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to our security posture

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field, with a proven track record of designing and implementing secure systems
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are an advantage
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and threat intelligence platforms
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
