Job Title: Cost Accountant

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data to help our organization make informed business decisions. The Cost Accountant will play a key role in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, as well as developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for cost improvement
• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the feasibility of new projects and initiatives
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability and efficiency
• Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to inform business decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting or a related field
• Proven track record of developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in financial management software, such as SAP or Oracle, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
