Responsibilities and Duties
The Intern will be part of the Communication Service Unit for the Sustainable Economic Growth Sector.
Key responsibilities include:
Communication strategy: provide support in the implementation of a communication and visibility strategy
Communication products: assist in the preparation of communication and visibility products
Content: assist in writing and designing social media posts, articles and other communication products
Design: prepare concise and visually appealing presentations, reports or designs
Documentation and monitoring: manage audiovisual and publications and support communication monitoring
Event: provide logistical and conceptual support for workshops, events and meetings
Administrative: Provide administrative support to the project team as requested
About You
Qualifications
Graduates that are allowed to reside and work in Ethiopia who finished their studies within the last year with a degree in Communications, English language or Literature, International Relations, or a related field
Strong proficiency in English is essential. Knowledge of other AU working languages is an advantage
Basic knowledge of graphics design and familiarity with InDesign and Photoshop is an advantage
Strong writing and editing abilities to create clear, concise and engaging materials
A good eye for aesthetics, storytelling and visual branding
Ability to conduct online research, analyse data and synthesise complex information
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Proactive, resourceful and eager to learn
A team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently
