Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization in achieving its strategic objectives and driving business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall strategic direction, developing and implementing business plans, and overseeing the overall operations of the organization. The CEO will be expected to be a strong leader, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan, in alignment with its mission and vision
• Provide overall leadership and direction to the organization, including setting goals and objectives for departments and teams
• Oversee the development and management of the organization’s budget, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with strategic objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the organization’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Lead and develop a high-performing executive team, providing coaching and guidance to support their success
• Represent the organization in public forums, including media appearances and industry events

Requirements

• Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian or international university
• At least 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a CEO or in a similar position
• Proven track record of success in driving business growth, improving profitability, and leading high-performing teams
• Strong understanding of the Ethiopian business environment, including regulatory requirements and industry trends
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Membership in a relevant professional association, such as the Ethiopian Management Institute or the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce, is an added advantage
