Cashier

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, managing cash and operating a point of sale system. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer transactions, including processing sales, handling returns and exchanges and managing cash and credit transactions
• Operate a point of sale system, including processing transactions, handling customer inquiries and managing inventory
• Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions and resolving issues
• Manage cash handling, including counting change, processing refunds and handling cash drops
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash wrap and surrounding areas

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cashier or in a related role
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple transactions at once
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point of sale system
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends
