BID ANNOUNCEMENT FOR EXTERNAL AUDITOR SERVICE FOR CBM BMZ- PROJECT

Brief Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced External Auditor to provide audit services for our CBM BMZ-Project. The successful bidder will be responsible for conducting an independent audit of the project’s financial statements and providing assurance that the financial reports are accurate and comply with relevant laws and regulations. The auditor will also identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance the project’s financial management and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct an independent audit of the project’s financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of the project’s financial transactions and accounts
  • Assess the project’s internal controls and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide assurance that the project’s financial reports are presented fairly and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Identify and report any material weaknesses or significant deficiencies in the project’s internal controls
  • Provide recommendations to enhance the project’s financial management and internal controls

Requirements

  • Be a registered and licensed auditor with a recognized professional accounting body in Ethiopia, such as the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Ethiopia (ICPAE)
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably with experience in auditing non-profit organizations or international development projects
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from a recognized university in Ethiopia
  • Have excellent knowledge of Ethiopian accounting standards, laws, and regulations, as well as international auditing standards
  • Be proficient in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience in using accounting software and auditing tools, such as Excel, QuickBooks, and audit management software
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and integrity
