Roles & Responsibilities for an Audit Manager – Manufacturing

Develop and implement audit plans for manufacturing units aligned with company policies and regulatory frameworks.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (taxation, labor laws, environmental standards, EHS regulations).
Review adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and financial reporting standards.
Identify operational, financial, and compliance risks across production, procurement, and supply chain.
Recommend corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate risks.
Monitor fraud detection mechanisms and strengthen anti-fraud controls.
Audit manufacturing processes (procurement, materials management, QA, production, logistics).
Evaluate cost monitoring systems, wastage control, and resource utilization.
Review accuracy of financial statements, cost sheets, and inventory valuation.
Audit payroll, compensation, and statutory deductions for compliance.
Ensure transparency in capital expenditure and procurement contracts.
Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable insights for senior management and the Board.
Present findings to Audit Committee and recommend policy changes.
Ensure timely follow-up on audit recommendations and track implementation.
