Associate, Impact Communication (Re-Advert)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate, Impact Communication to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote our organization’s impact and programs. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to promote our organization’s impact and programs
• Collaborate with program teams to identify and document impact stories and successes
• Write and edit high-quality content for various communication channels, including social media, website, and reports
• Design and produce visual materials, such as infographics, videos, and photographs, to support communication efforts
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and other stakeholders to secure media coverage and promote our organization’s work
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 2 years of experience in communication, public relations, or a related field, preferably in a non-profit or development organization
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies and plans
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation
• Experience with design and production of visual materials, such as infographics, videos, and photographs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Ethiopian media landscape and experience working with media outlets and journalists
