Job Description

Responsibilities Communications • Conduct research and draft engaging content for UNOAU’s social media platforms, including posts for advocacy campaigns, mission updates, and international observances. • Assist in the creation of digital visual content for web and social media, including simple graphics such as quote cards, GIFs, and short videos. • Contribute creative ideas to enhance UNOAU’s digital communication strategies, particularly for major events and advocacy campaigns. • Support live coverage of events and develop content on UNOAU Website; • Support coverage of UNOAU events and contribute to the content development for the UNOAU website. • Assist in the daily monitoring of social media accounts; • Provide support to internal communication efforts, including the drafting updates and information sharing materials for staff • Assist with photo and video coverage of the SRSG’s appointments and high-level engagements. • Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor Gender, Women, Peace and Security (WPS) • Support research and analysis on regional trends and developments related to Gender and the Women, Peace and Security agenda. • Assist in compiling data and background information on the impact of conflict on women and girls, particularly in conflict-affected countries across the region. • Participate in the planning and delivery of Gender and WPS-related events organized by UNOAU, including workshops, dialogues, and awareness campaigns. • Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor to support the work of the unit.
