Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, journals, and ledgers
• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and credit card statements
• Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory returns
• Develop and implement financial models and forecasts to support business decisions
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, or SAP
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent writing and reporting skills
