Nursing Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nursing Manager to lead our nursing team in providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and that the nursing team is motivated and supported. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
• Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Manage nursing budgets and resources, ensuring effective use of personnel, equipment, and supplies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards

Requirements

• BSc degree in Nursing from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
• Current registration with the Ethiopian Nursing Association
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in motivating and developing nursing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Knowledge of Ethiopian healthcare policies and regulations, with experience in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Proficiency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively in both languages
