IT Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our Information Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the implementation of our IT systems and infrastructure. The IT Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our data and systems, as well as providing technical support to our staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategies and plans that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives
• Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases
• Ensure the security and integrity of our data and systems, including implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures
• Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize IT needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
• Manage IT budgets and ensure that IT projects are delivered on time and within budget

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of success in leading IT teams and implementing IT projects
• Strong technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL, and project management methodologies, such as Agile
• Certifications in IT management, such as ITIL Foundation or Certified IT Manager (CITM), are an advantage
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
