Job Title: Program Coordinator, Malaria

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator, Malaria to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of malaria programs in Ethiopia, working closely with government agencies, health facilities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that malaria programs are well-planned, executed, and monitored to achieve desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of malaria programs in Ethiopia
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, health facilities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery
• Conduct needs assessments and analyze data to inform program design and implementation
• Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with donor requirements
• Supervise and mentor program staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure integration of malaria programs with other health initiatives
• Prepare and submit program reports to donors and other stakeholders, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in a health-related field
• Proven experience in managing and coordinating programs with multiple stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of malaria programs and health systems in Ethiopia
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software
• Willingness to travel to rural areas of Ethiopia, as required
