Roster: Fly-In/Fly-Out (6 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off)

The Role

The Maintenance Planner optimizes equipment uptime and workforce productivity by eliminating potential delays through meticulous coordination of labour, parts, and equipment access. Responsible for managing maintenance strategies, execute Maintenance Management Systems, and prioritize work orders to meet production targets without compromising safety.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling:

Develop, review, and adjust short- and long-term (corrective and preventative) maintenance schedules (preventive, predictive, and corrective) based on OEM manuals and operational history.
Develop weekly and monthly maintenance schedules in collaboration with the team
Balance maintenance priorities based on the severity and production requirements
Work Order Management:

Develop detailed maintenance plans
Prepare work orders, job packages, procedures and resource requirements
Review maintenance requests and prioritize according to operational requirements
Derive detailed Scope of works for major maintenance related roles.
Including required tools, safety steps, technical drawings, and estimated labour hours.
Supply Chain Coordination:

Create critical spartes lists
Verify the availability of required spares, materials, and external services in the inventory system before maintenance execution.
System Accuracy:

Maintain CMMS and ERP databases (e.g., Oracle, Pronto) by logging work histories, updating task lists, and managing asset hierarchies.
Continuous Improvement:

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment failures and generate performance reports (MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance) to refine maintenance strategies.
Shutdown & Outage Planning:

Lead planning efforts for major overhauls and planned plant shutdowns, working closely with Reliability Engineers and Operations.
Safety

Plan and organize work
Implement/deliver monthly, weekly, and daily plans.

Submit statistics, reports, job cards and time sheets
Comply with relevant legislation and mining regulations
Comply with company standards and mine plans

Finance & Commercial:

Align to function plans and targets.
Obtain and allocate resources to enable teams to deliver on daily, weekly, quarterly, annual targets.
Design solutions based on functional knowledge to address business needs.

Share information regularly in the form of management reports.
