Job Title: Supervisor Medical Data Entry – Afar Project

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Medical Data Entry to join our team in the Afar Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely entry of medical data into our system, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of patient information. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of medical data entry staff to ensure efficient and accurate data entry
• Develop and implement data entry protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of data
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry
• Provide training and support to medical data entry staff to improve their skills and knowledge
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any discrepancies or issues with patient data
• Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies and procedures
• Generate reports and statistics on data entry activities and provide insights for process improvement

Requirements

• BSc degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 2 years of experience in medical data entry or a related field, with supervisory experience preferred
• Proven knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and data quality principles
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic health record systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and data entry staff
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of Afar language an advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, with flexibility to work in a remote or rural setting
