Job Title: Senior Accountant

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Develop and implement financial models and forecasts to support business decisions
• Manage and oversee the accounting team, including training and developing staff members
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management on financial planning and budgeting
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Peachtree or QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop team members
