Re-Announcement – Program Communications Specialist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Communications Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote our programs and services. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to promote programs and services
• Create engaging content for various audiences, including press releases, social media posts, and newsletter articles
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, stakeholders, and partners
• Design and produce visual materials, such as infographics, brochures, and presentations
• Manage and maintain the organization’s website and social media platforms
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective communication strategies
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic
• Strong design and visual production skills, with experience in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with Ethiopian media landscape and cultural context
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and content management systems
